It is kind of funny how things happen in my life. I watch something on TV, like a documentary and then I discuss it with Krystal. “BIG MISTAKE” Krystal then turns it into us doing it. And then I start kicking myself for watching it and or telling her about it. Lol…Silly me

In the past we have gone from going vegan to juicing multiple times in the attempts improve our health and our weight. The success rate of these ventures hasn’t always been great.
We have tried multiple times to go vegan, the longest we achieve our vegan quest was a full week! We really tried hard that week. The boys were even on board for most of the week. But they grew tired of it quickly and then wouldn’t eat anything.
And that was ok…I mean when they get hungry they will eat, right? At least that was our mind set for a while. Until the caring grandma in me came out…These boys need to eat!
We only lasted a week, because we made it way too complicated. We made everything from starch. Followed multiple recipes, that we found off numerous YouTube channel’s…We just made it too hard, so we gave up. Feeling hopeless in our vegan journey.
So back to the easy way, gaining weight, feeling bloated and feeling time catching up to me.

So the other day I was looking on Facebook and happen to stumble across the movie “Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead” We have seen this movie before and was inspired by it. We actually juiced in the past because we watched the movie. However this time I watched it more intensely. I already know the importance and healing property of juicing. But like all the other things we tried, we didn’t have the drive to stick with it.
So once again when Krystal gets home, we had a in-depth discussion about the movie. And what do you think happened…Umm, You would think I would learn not to discuss ANY movie with Krystal. However I did and now we are on a Juicing Journey!
So…those who don’t know what juice fasting is, it is essentially not eating food and only juicing vegetables and fruits, and drinking lots of water. Joe Cross from “Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead” Juiced for 60 days, no food, just Juice! He lost a lot of weight and improved his health. He was on some medication when he started and by the time he finished his 60 day Juicing Fast he no longer had to take the medication. His body healed itself with the help of the fresh Vegetables and Fruit.

I’m not on meds. I’m not a believer in them. I really don’t want to take them. I watched my mom and Aunt contently going to the doctor and getting more and more medication to take. It is just one big drug fest. I want to believe you can fix yourself naturally. I guess that is why I’m always watching Documentaries.
I am overweight, so I’m sure I’m not very healthy. But you know, I’m not really sure how I’m over weight! Its not like I sit around the house eating chips or cake all day. I am pretty busy. I am homeschooling my four grandchildren. That keeps me very busy. However, I am over weight and have to face that fact! I need to do my best to fix it!

So Krystal goes to the store and brings home looooooot’s of vegetables and fruits. Enough for two people…out comes the juicer from the garage and here we go.
I plan on posting my journey as I go along. I’m not sure how long we will be juicing. I don’t think we will do the 60 day juicing that Joe Cross did. I’m not sure if I have the will power to go that long. I Believe Krystal wanted to only do a 3 day juice. (I am writing this on day 7) So as time goes on we are evaluating how we feel.
