I’m not the kind of person that needs to have lots of people around me, when I’m around lots of people I feel very uncomfortable. I’m at my best with a small circle of people. And if you don’t already know my beautiful daughter is of course my favorite person of all.
Krystal is my only child, so when she came to me (years ago) and told me she wanted to join the marines, I was shocked to say the least. Because my child is a girly girl, she likes to get her nails done, her hair done, and is always clean. And when I imagine a Marine, my child does not come to mind. However, she already had her mind set and was very excited about the prospect of joining the Marines. Not much for me to do except put on a brave face.
Because Krystal wanted to join the Marines right after 911, and nothing I could and did say would change her mind. Krystal went into the Marines and finished boot camp just in time to be shipped out and in Kuwait only a few weeks before that war started.
I couldn’t believe my baby girl was in a war zone. She was born in a small town in Kansas and went to a K-12th grade school. Not more than 20 kids in her graduating class. And now she was halfway around the world fighting along with thousands of other kids. Luckly Krystal is a female and wasn’t on the front line. However, to me she was right there with the rest of them, and she was in danger.

My Mind was always on her when she was overseas. Krystal did two tours during her 4 years in the Marines. She is extremely proud of what she accomplished and acquired lifelong bonds with the group of Marines that was in her squad. And I guess I also survived the 4 years she spent serving her country.
If you can’t tell I am extremely proud of all she accomplished and tell everyone that will listen to me that my baby girl was a marine. Krystal has been home for almost 15 years now and continues to surprise me with her love of everything. She is the most positive, caring, hardworking & giving person around.
We as a family recently open our Shopify store fourwanderingwaters.com it is a family project. We have T-Shirts in all sizes. That will allow families to purchase the same designs for a mother, father/child look. So, in Honor of Krystal a Marine Veteran, we are creating a new line of Marine & Veterans Designs with the focus on Women Marines.
The Theme for our shop is of course Homeschooling! We also like to create designs to put on all our item that someone in our family is interested in. Such as Gaming, Yoga & Food. We have Canvas Bags, Mugs, Canvas Pictures, Hooded Sweatshirts & Tank Tops. All the boys have the same input as we do. We encourage them to create designs to sell in our shop. I hope you will check out all our designs as well as our newest Marine line. Remember this is in honor of my daughter and the boy’s mother. As well as all the men and women in the service that have made the ultimate sacrifice and to those that continue to serve this great country of ours.
